February 22, 2011
CHATTANNOOGA, TENN. -- The city has reached a settlement with a woman whose car was hit by a city police cruiser that ran a red light while speeding to a call.
The settlement is for $60,000.
City Attorney Mike McMahan called that very reasonable, saying that Rosetta Crutcher had serious injuries and had $28,835 in medical bills.
He said a lawsuit was not filed in the case.
He said Ms. Crutcher's vehicle was rolled over by the impact of the patrol vehicle.
