Okay Me and SliverZZR have been working on a project. I wanted to come out ahead of any rumors that might get started and explain what we are doing. We have created a new website with a forum. I have said that to tell you this. By no means are we trying to replace ETR or compete nor take members from here. I would like to think of it as a second resource. Second to this wonderful site. We want to do a few things different. Like a place for the women riders and regions for quick gatherings, and to get to know people close to you. This doesn't not mean that Dustin nor I are leaving this site to create our own to take over. With the Web Site we would like to try to do alot of things like Fund raisers, Charities, and special events. I deeply hope that our family here on ETR does not take this the wrong way, our intentions are good.

The main difference is ETR is a forum, a great forum. We just wanted to take the idea of a forum and turn it into more of a tool ... to get bikers involved in helping the community and other bikers on a much larger scale. It will eventually become a self sustained giant. Every penny it earns from advertising will be reinvested to further advertise the site and the forum.

Now let the bashing start...

ORIGINAL TITLE: Court says Dragon speed limit is 65 mph - Dragonater Note: This was my first post on EastTnBikers.com, and literally my very first words were censored within 12 hours, and all URL links were banned and changed to "STUPID" pictures by pissed off pigs. An ETBPig added to the end of the post, "Hi My name is Stupid...." But not even ETB Piggies dared censor Comments praising the genius of The Dragonater.

This week the Blount County general sessions court agreed with the Blount County attorney general and TDOT that the speed limit on the Dragon at Deals Gap is 65 MPH, not the posted alleged limit of 30.

The charge of speeding at 60 MPH was dismissed with prejudice, with costs paid by the State.

Tennessee Dept of Transportation admitted in writing that the mandatory Traffic Engineering Survey Speed Audit had never been done to justify reduction of the 55 MPH speed limit to 30 MPH on the Dragon. TN Code says the default speed limit is 65 MPH. Attorney J Matthew Elrod agrees, the current speed limit on the Dragon is 65 MPH.

Posting a speed limit without a Speed Audit is a violation of TN Code and violation of court order, because reducing a speed limit below the average speed of traffic increases the death rate...which is exactly what happened. A Safety Audit is not a Speed Audit, since there was no measurement of the 85th-Percentile Speed of traffic.

After the TDOT Safety Audit and $1-million in highway improvements, the death rate increased 400% on the Dragon, despite over 500,000 tourists boycotting the Police State of TN in Blount County, where THP increased biker tickets 11,400%, while almost every other county got a 30% reduction.

Video of the THP traffic stop - Trooper admits his speed trap is illegal for Northbound traffic at Mile Marker 0.5, since he admits that is Federal jurisdiction. The trooper also appears to not have his radar turned on, proving perjury in court. He had so many motorcycles pulled over at one time, that riders had to take a number and wait in line to get their ticket.

Sgt Huckeby's entire personnel file was obtained under the Tennesee Open Records Act, which revealed not only that he's the #1 ticket writer in TN, but that he's paid over $100,000 salary. All troopers get an annual review, which requires them to testify under penalty of perjury to "never violate traffic laws". Video in the court case proved that Sgt Huckeby illegally breaks the posted speed limit at all times when driving on the Dragon. Cops only get immunity to traffic laws when using emergency lights and siren.

Also obtained under the TN Open Records Act is the 2007 TDOT Safety Audit Review, which banned all commercial businesses on the Dragon, and THP's Stalker radar operator manual admitting that radar does not work.

"The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) has decided to take action in eliminating commercial activity along state right-of-way in the project area. This enforcement is intended to disallow persons from taking photographs of vehicles and motorcyclists with the intent of selling the photographs at a later date. The THP contends this activity is a hazard o public safety. It is recommended that signs be placed at the entrance of each end of the route advising this policy."

Bottom line, most (if not all) traffic tickets on the Dragon can result in cops being arrested for felony Official Oppression under TN Code, and sued in civil court for false arrest and malicious prosecution.

"This is the rather troubled gent from Pirate News who has a field day creating information and supporting it by creating links on his own websites. Also known to throw out random other accounts for 'supporting people'. On any given day half his relatives are judges in Blount and Knox county who are fighting the very laws they supposedly enforce, etc. So far I have never been able to find one thing that substantiates anything he has stated. Given a choice between this guy and the Houston brothers as my defense attorneys I'd take the Houston's. At least they are consistent! Of course, you can prove anything when you make up the data... 5. Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule. This is also known as the primary 'attack the messenger' ploy, though other methods qualify as variants of that approach. Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as 'kooks', 'right-wing', 'liberal', 'left-wing', 'terrorists', 'conspiracy buffs', 'radicals', 'militia', 'racists', 'religious fanatics', 'sexual deviates', and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues.

6. Hit and Run. In any public forum, make a brief attack of your opponent or the opponent position and then scamper off before an answer can be fielded, or simply ignore any answer. This works extremely well in Internet and letters-to-the-editor environments where a steady stream of new identities can be called upon without having to explain criticism, reasoning -- simply make an accusation or other attack, never discussing issues, and never answering any subsequent response, for that would dignify the opponent's viewpoint.

9. Play Dumb. No matter what evidence or logical argument is offered, avoid discussing issues except with denials they have any credibility, make any sense, provide any proof, contain or make a point, have logic, or support a conclusion. Mix well for maximum effect.

17. Change the subject. Usually in connection with one of the other ploys listed here, find a way to side-track the discussion with abrasive or controversial comments in hopes of turning attention to a new, more manageable topic. This works especially well with companions who can 'argue' with you over the new topic and polarize the discussion arena in order to avoid discussing more key issues.

18. Emotionalize, Antagonize, and Goad Opponents. If you can't do anything else, chide and taunt your opponents and draw them into emotional responses which will tend to make them look foolish and overly motivated, and generally render their material somewhat less coherent. Not only will you avoid discussing the issues in the first instance, but even if their emotional response addresses the issue, you can further avoid the issues by then focusing on how 'sensitive they are to criticism.'

One suggestion is for the military to hire bloggers to “pass the U.S. message“: Information strategists can consider clandestinely recruiting or hiring prominent bloggers or other persons of prominence…to pass the U.S. message. … On the other hand, such operations can have a blowback effect, as witnessed by the public reaction following revelations that the U.S. military had paid journalists to publish stories in the Iraqi press under their own names. People do not like to be deceived, and the price of being exposed is lost credibility and trust. An alternative strategy is to “make” a blog and blogger.
