DEALS GAP, TENN. -- Brent Matheson carries his cross on US129 "The Dragon".
His route began in Englewood, Tennessee, 250 miles away.
Blount County deputies illegally banned the preacher from walking on the Dragon.
So Matheson walked to Sevierville, to Gatlinburg, through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, crossed Newfound Gap to Cherokee NC, and reached Deals Gap NC via Hellbender NC28. Next stop, Cleveland TN.
No cop can stop a real biker from taming the Dragon.

On Friday Brent Matheson bore his own rugged cross down the shoulder of Highway 411. “The Lord told me to build this cross and carry it,” Matheson said. The cross is made from spare wood Matheson found and gutter nails hold the structure together.
