Kyle Busch just issued a sort-of apology for his 128 mph speeding ticket -- chalking up his ridiculous speed to a test drive gone wrong, and the blatantly obvious ... "I got carried away."
In his statement Busch says , "I was test driving a new sports car and I got carried away. I went beyond the speed I should have been going on a public road. I apologize to the public, my fans, sponsors, and race teams for my lack of judgment."
The NASCAR bad boy was driving a Lexus LFA when cops in Troutman, NC pulled him over today ... doing 128 mph in a 45 mph zone. BTW ... the LFA packs about 552 horses!
Busch added, "I take responsibility for my actions and I can assure you that something like this will never happen again."
According to cops, Busch was targeted by a special unit called the "Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team" of the Iredell County Sheriff's Dept.
If convicted, Busch can lose his license for up to a year and face $1,000 in fines.
FAST FACT: NASCAR drivers do not need a valid driver's license ... only a NASCAR license. So, Kyle -- currently 3rd in Sprint Cup points -- is not in jeopardy of getting yanked out of his #18 ride.
NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was clocked by a North Carolina sheriff's deputy going 128 mph in a 45 mph zone and was cited for careless and reckless driving and speeding, a law enforcement spokesman said Tuesday.
Iredell County Sheriff's Office Capt. Darren Campbell said a deputy stopped Busch's 2012 yellow Lexus sports car on a road between Troutman and Mooresville, where the 26-year-old driver lives. It's about 30 miles north of Charlotte.
Campbell said Busch was cited and released upon a written promise to appear in court.
In a statement issued late Tuesday, Busch acknowledged what happened.
"I was test-driving a new sports car and I got carried away," Busch said. "I went beyond the speed I should have been going on a public road. I apologize to the public, my fans, sponsors, and race teams for my lack of judgment."
Busch, who drives for Joe Gibbs Racing, accepted responsibility and said it would never happen again.
NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp said Busch would be allowed to race this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He's coming off a second-place finish in Saturday night's All-Star race, and goes into the Coca-Cola 600 ranked third in the Sprint Cup Series standings.
"This is a matter that Kyle will have to handle with the authorities in Iredell County," Tharp said. "Based on what we know right now, this would not impact his status as a NASCAR driver."
In 2006, Busch pleaded guilty to improper driving and was fined $150 after he was ticketed in suburban Richmond, Va., on a reckless driving charge when he pulled out of a gas station and into a fast-food restaurant. Busch said at the time he "chirped" his tires but didn't exceed 10 mph.
Under a misdemeanor reckless driving charge he originally faced, Busch could have received up to one year in jail, a $2,500 fine and a driver's license suspension.
Last month, Busch was placed on probation through June 15 after he and Kevin Harvick confronted each other in the pits after a race at Darlington Raceway.
In what should be called perfect casting, FX Network’s hit outlaw-biker drama ‘Sons of Anarchy’ has brought film star Danny Trejo on for several episodes during season 4 this fall.
As season 4 rapidly approaches, FX has recruited the ubiquitous Danny Trejo for a multi-episode arc alongside the members of SAMCRO on the biker drama Sons of Anarchy.
Trejo is set to portray former Mexican military commando Romero ‘Romeo’ Parada, who finds himself a new friend in SAMCRO. As with most roles in Sons of Anarchy, the part calls for someone who is capable of intimidating even the toughest of adversaries.
Hitting the road with the motorcycle club is no easy task; not every actor has what it takes to convincingly pull off the biker look and swagger. In this instance, however, the opposite may be true. Trejo could be so convincing he’ll end up intimidating the rest of the cast. In fact, Trejo is so capable of instilling fear that even his recent guest appearances on Modern Family and Bones were filled with a wee bit of trepidation on my part.
Whether he’s is playing the good guy, the bad guy – or a conflicted amalgam of the two – Trejo’s career has been built on the assumption that he is literally the most dangerous guy in the room.
A favorite of Robert Rodriguez, the actor has appeared in almost all of the director’s films including Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, and the Spy Kids franchise. Trejo even starred in last year’s Grindhouse offshoot Machete, which reunited him with his Heat co-star Robert De Niro.
Although we have a description of the character Trejo will be playing, we don’t yet know where Romeo Parada is going to fit in. In fact, much of season 4 will be spent finding out where the boys of the outlaw motorcycle club fit in as well.
Sons of Anarchy creator and showrunner Kurt Sutter has said that after the events of season 3, the biggest adversary SAMCRO will face in season 4 will be modernity.
“It’ll be a different Charming. There will be a new mayor and a new sheriff. The 21st century is going to land at SAMCRO’s doorstep. It’ll be interesting, because the 21st century will also bleed into their lives.”
With luck, Trejo will be integral to the storyline in season 4 and thereby enjoy a solid amount of screen time. Sons of Anarchy has had its fair share of actors willing to take a turn on the dark side – some have been obvious choices like Henry Rollins, while others like Adam Arkin and Hal Holbrook were unexpected pleasures. Like Rollins, the announcement of Trejo’s involvement seems like a match made in heaven. Frankly, one can hardly believe it took this long to happen.

At Infineon Raceway last weekend, Pegram hinted that the future of the show is dependent on the number of viewers it gets and the feedback HD Theater receives on the show.
The series depicts Larry Pegram and his family-based racing team as they compete on the AMA Superbike circuit.
Pegram, a career professional motorcycle for the last twenty years juggles his time managing the most successful independent Superbike team on the circuit while at the same time raising two young girls with his wife Heather. His dad Jim works full-time at the team shop, while his mother tends to the books and feeds the crew on weekends.

Nashville, Tenn (AP) -- A secret bill that increases penalties for supporting a patsy terrorist organization is headed to Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam for his rubber stamp.
"This is a great diversion opportunity for my daddy to loot the $30-billion budget to expand Pilot Oil," Haslam announced. "$10-billion in CAFR pension funds and profitible assets aren't listed in the Budget Report. Sheep don't read the CAFR."
Campaign contributions from ADL lobbyists ensured the measure passed the Senate 26-3, a day after the House version was approved 76-16. No legislators were actually present during the roll call vote on Saturday.
The current measure would allow the governor and the attorney general to label anyone as a terrorist if investigations from the state Department of Homeland Safety as well as the Office of Fatherland Security suggest they are enough of a threat.
The 15-page Material Support for Operation Northwoods Act of 2011 would ultimately fight “homegrown terrorism,” whether the state finds that threat in gangs, cults, religious groups or individuals, according to local gropenfuhrers.
The proposal is an almost Constitutional version of a bill that originally sought to make it a felony to follow some versions of the Islamic code known as Shariah, that forbids banks charging interest and requires wives to have sex with their husbands.
The measure would also no longer authorize the glorious leader nor his lawyer to decide whether a person or group is a terrorist organization, leaving that authority with the psychopathic federal government that burned down Atlanta and carried out the 9/11 attacks.

KNOXVILLE, TENN. -- Two Slayers are in the hospital after wrecking their motorcycles this afternoon in Blount County.
Both accidents took place on Calderwood Highway, more commonly known as "The Dragon," due to its many curves with sharp teeth.
According to the Tennessee Ticket Patrol, the wrecks occurred at mile markers 3 and 7.
Both Dragonslayers were slayed by head-on crashes
The man traveling northbound at mile marker 3 failed to countersteer his motorcycle and went down an embankment.
He was overcharged $20,000 by Lifestar Taxi Service for the 10-minute flight to the Canadian-owned University of Tennessee Medical Center. He is listed in serious condition. CUT stocks rose 1% on the news.
The other Slayer was traveling southbound at mile marker 7.
He failed to countersteer going around a curve and also fell down an embankment. He was ticketed for wearing full body armor, which reduced profits of the Medical Industrial Complex.
He was also airjacked to CUT Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Public servants did not admit the illegally low speed limit and lack of ambulance service was a factor in both wrecks.
The Slayers' motorcycle names have not yet been released.

Blount Commission refusing to discuss budget during tax increase

To My Fellow Citizens,
MARYVILLE, TENN. -- Nearly ten percent of Blount county citizens are unemployed. Thirty percent of county real estate transactions involve a foreclosure. The Budget Committee has decided to impose a tax increase on our hard pressed citizens.
Now, the tax increase decision is in the hands of the County Commission.
But, your County Commission decided not to bother spending time on the county budget this month!
Most regular readers know the Budget Committee has not done the hard work necessary to cut the wasteful spending from the County budget. Worse, they have refused three offers to look at information developed by Citizens for Better Government, which shows the County is spending $9 million (23%) more than the average of the three Tennessee counties closest to Blount in population.
The full Commission has never even held a discussion of the new budget. At the Agenda Commission, I made a motion to put a discussion of the budget on the agenda for the Commission’s May 19 meeting. The idea was to get all 21 Commission members to understand the County budget problems and look at all available data to make smart cuts. For example, Sheriff Berrong is responsible for more than $5 million of the overspending, but was virtually unchallenged when he came before the Budget Committee. An open discussion of this, and other areas, of major wasteful spending could lead to ways to avoid a tax increase. Clearly, the Sheriff’s political cronies on the Commission did not want a discussion of this overspending, and voted against the motion. The motion was voted down 6 to 14. Only Commissioners Murrell, Lewis, Hasty, French, Carver and myself were interested in spending the time to examine the budget.
Commission refuses to look at a study of medical benefit costs
Last year, the County paid for a major study of the level and cost of medical benefits in our County and how they compared with other counties in Tennessee. The study concluded that Blount County employees are contributing far less ($0 for the employee and $100 for family coverage) to their medical benefit costs than employees of other Tennessee counties. The Commission Human Resources Committee, where 8 of 10 members are either county employees, or close relatives of county employees, refused to even hear a presentation of the study. Since medical benefit costs are a major budget item, I made a motion to have the study presented to the full Commission at the May 19 meeting. The motion was voted down 5 to 15. Only Commissioners Murrell, Hasty, Gamble, Carver and myself voted to listen to the presentation of the benefits study.
I am at a loss to explain why, apparently intelligent people, refuse to look at information which might be helpful in solving the County’s serious financial problems. Apparently, many Commissioners feel it is easier to impose a tax increase on the citizens, than to address the overspending of politically powerful officials.
Budget Committee avoids the hard work of cutting the budget and resorts to gimmicks
The Budget Committee, without even looking at the Citizens for Better Government information comparing Blount County spending with the three counties closest to us in population, decided on a budget that cut less than 5% from county spending. The CFBG study showed the Sheriff was spending more than 25% more than the average spending of the three other comparison counties, yet the Budget Committee let him off with just a 3% cut. This new budget requires a $2.40 tax rate. The Budget Committee announced a $2.15 tax rate. They used a series of budget gimmicks to show the lower tax rate. First, they used $2.6 million in one time grant money to pay on-going salaries. Next, they forced the Schools to dip into their rainy day fund for another $600,000. Finally, they took $1.6 million out of Debt Service Fund to pay on-going expenses. These moves virtually guarantee a tax rate of $2.50 in the following fiscal year, nearly a 25% increase from where we are today. It is sad that the Budget Committee would rather impose a major tax increase on the citizens, than cut the budget to the AVERAGE level of spending of the three Tennessee counties closest to us in population – Washington (Johnson City), Sullivan(Kingsport) and Sumner(Gallatin).

An Alabama police officer allegedly hospitalized an elderly man who called 911 to report an accident across the street from his house while his wife watched the entire beating from her wheelchair.
The Courthouse News Service reported that 84-year-old Dorsey Henderson of Fairhope, Alabama called 911 after investigating the car accident and discovering that the driver of the vehicle was severely intoxicated.
Henderson told the driver of the car he was under citizens arrest and needed to wait near his car until police arrived.
When Officer Trent Scott arrived on the scene, Henderson attempted to inform him of the driver's belligerent behavior and that the driver had been placed under citizens arrest. The officer allegedly told Henderson there was "no such thing as citizen's arrest in Alabama," and to "get out of the way, old man."
After Henderson tried to explain that he was only trying to help, Officer Scott placed him in an arm bar and slammed him face first into the ground, breaking his nose and eyeglasses. Henderson's wife, Dorris, watched from a wheelchair at the front window of her house, telling a 911 dispatcher that the officer was "beating the hell out of my husband."
At no point did Scott place Henderson under arrest or charge him with any crime, but kept Henderson handcuffed in the backseat of his police cruiser.
Roughly ten minutes later, Scott sent an ambulance that had arrived away, telling the paramedics that the elderly man "doesn't need an ambulance."
A superior office who later arrived on the scene ordered the ambulance to return and Henderson was taken to the hospital, where he doctors said he suffered a broken nose, multiple contusions and a torn rotator cuff.
As of May 16, 2011, Scott was still employed by the Fairhope Police Department.

According to the above report, the film will discuss events that led up to the formation of the CCP following the 1917 Russian Revolution. When the movie first went into production GM signed up Cadillac as the “chief business partner” with the Communist Party, stating: “Cadillac whole-heartedly supports the making of the Birth of a Party.”
In fact, an AP article in early May points out, "Chinese TV regulators have reportedly ordered local broadcasters to stay away from spy and crime thrillers as part of a propaganda buildup for the ruling Communist Party's 90th anniversary July 1." Stars of the film are reportedly chauffeured around China in the Cadillac SLS in an effort to promote the movie all over the Communist led country.
The United States government currently own 33% of the GM company following the auto-bailouts of 2009, and GM CEO Daniel Akerson describes China, as the "key to [GM's] success." (h/t The Detroit Bureau)
Presently, GM's business in China is selling more autos in the Asian country than in the United States. The Washington Post noted last week that China was GM's solution to help the car-maker recover from bankruptcy, so the company "is only expected to widen as an increasing number of Chinese grow rich enough to purchase their first car.”
Along with concern over China's ownership of trillions of dollars of U.S. debt, it is truly troubling that an American company financially supported now by the U.S. taxpayer is happily promoting Communist propaganda that glosses over the atrocities of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. What's next for GM? Selling military vehicles for the Chinese to threaten their own people with?
